We have developed a structured lighting based system which works
by projecting a series of known light patterns onto an object. As
these patterns flicker across the object they are recorded with
a digital camera and processed by our software to generate high
density and high accuracy point clouds which are subsequently converted
to polygon meshes as required.
This system is suitable for projects that require even more speed
or accuracy than D Sculptor can offer, as it can automatically scan
thousands of points with an accuracy of better than a millimetre.
It is therefore suitable for both creative and technical applications.
The system can be configured in a number of ways depending on the
desired speed of capture as well as the dimensions of the objects
to be captured.
